About Ozark Mountain Farm

Ozark Mountain Farm is Located near Dora, in Ozark County, MO. We are nestled up against a portion of the Devils Backbone Wilderness Area of the Mark Twain National Forest. Our horses are ridden mainly on the trails through this rugged area of the Ozarks, so as you can see, we really appreciate a sure footed, smooth riding equine. The Missouri Foxtrotting horse was bred for exactly this type of riding, and we breed, train, and ride Missouri Foxtrotting Horses. We have recently purchase a Spotted Saddle horse, and are looking forward to many smooth ridin' miles from him. We believe that gaited horses make excellent trail horses, it just takes a little training. If you've ever heard the rumor that gaited horses stumble all over themselves on the trail, consider it totally untrue. We and numerous of our friends and neighbors have all ridden our gaited trail horses through some pretty rough country, smoothly and safely.
